Highlights:
My special congratulations to Embrapa, which completed 50 years on the 26th. Brazilian agriculture would not be the same without this institution.
And, in May I started a monthly column in Futurecom Digital website and in my first article I wrote about gender challenges and opportunities in ag.
The first half of 2023 has brought several relevant themes related to innovation in agribusiness. New investment rounds, mass layoffs, fears of a banking crisis and climate issues as priorities in discussions at global forums.
There are so many subjects that it's hard to choose one for the first article in my column on Futurecom. And, when analyzing the entire current situation, I understand that all the challenges and opportunities of the moment lead to it being “the time and turn of women in agro-innovation”. The reasons are:
The rise of women in ag innovation
Ag women need innovation
Women of innovation need investment
Women of innovation in agriculture need opportunities
The women in innovation and agriculture show that this is the moment
And then I interviewed Thais Andrade, Head of Sales at Tarken and a great friend. By taking the lead of the commercial team, she hired 7 women and she explains why.
